Do you do blood testing?
Yes, we do over 1000 blood tests as well as stool, urine, allergy, and specialized tests.
Do you do blood testing for both adults and children?
Yes, we test adults, post-surgical and bedridden clients, the elderly, teenagers, young children, toddlers, newborns and premature babies.
Do you do bloodtesting in the home or office?
Yes we come to a client’s home or office, and travel West to Hudson, Qc., east to Anjou, north to Blainville and St. Jerome, and to the South Shore.
What is the fee for coming to my home or office?
The cost of a house call is $55.00 plus taxes.
Can I also come to your clinic for testing?
Yes, you can come to our clinic and scheduling an appointment will ensure that you are in and out. Sante Mobile A-1 staff are committed to providing a personalized and competent service to each of our clients.
Do I need to prepare for a blood test?
Depending on your doctor’s requisition, you may need to fast for 12 to 14 hours. Fasting will also influence the time you schedule your appointment; early morning being preferable for most persons.
Urine tests may require that you use a sterile container to collect an early morning mid-stream sample. For specialized tests, the appropriate preparation will be explained to you by your doctor or our laboratory personnel.
How many vials of blood can I expect to be taken from me?
As many as 25 routine tests can be done with 1 to 3 vials, each holding 4 to 5 ml of blood.
What are the advantages of using your service instead of having tests done free at a hospital?
No delay; a personalized, competent, professional service; expedient results; 10% discount on many routine tests; 25% discount for clients without insurance.
What will a blood workup cost me?
A routine blood workup is between $150.00 - $ 200.00. For clients with insurance, coverage is usually between 80% and 100%. The cost is therefore between $0.00 and $40. What is not reimbursed can be claimed as a medical expense on your income tax return.
How soon can I expect my results?
Most results are sent the same day or within 24 hours. In the case of an emergency, we can forward your results to your physician within 24 hours.
Do I need a prescription from a doctor prior to coming for a blood test?
Yes, it is mandatory to have a requisition from your physician.
What do you do in the case of difficult veins?
Over 21 years of experience doing blood work with different age groups, has allowed our staff to develop an expertise in dealing with any difficult or unusual circumstance. Sharper needles, needle size and using lancets on babies’ heels has also facilitated the process.
Are your services ever covered by Medicare?
Sante Mobile’s A-1  services are not reimbursable from the RAMQ ( La regie d’assurance maladie du Quebec). There are however, some exceptions with hospital drop-offs.
